Future Plans (17/04/2025)
Firstly I hope you have enjoyed your stay here! As of writing this today, the website never actually got much development ever since it launched and I admit, ive been lazy! Sometimes you let life get the better of you and you get distracted and lose your footing. I have not stopped being motivated but I often have the bad habit of trying to justify myself. However life has been amazing recently! Lovely holiday in India and landed a really good job so my life is heading towards the goals I have aimed for. It is an amazing feeling to finally feel like studying and the hard work finally amounted to something you wanted.
Although thats great, as a means to keep revisiting this site, I have been focusing too much on myself and experimenting if I like this approach to talk to the void (or the very few that see this) about whatever. It is not quite the original vision I had for this site and I want it to be strictly to a side piece compared to what I set out for this site initially. It is always best to bring something of value before you fluff up the place with personality. The coffee has to taste good before the cafe feels cosy.
SO I have decided to talk in depth about what I set out to do here! As a means to finally do them and as a reminder of what I want to do. It may not be exciting but its always best to write down your ideas before you forget them and have a date next to it so you can see over time how it evolved, its pretty exciting! The ideas I have are quite numerous but I will explore the more critical ones first then the creative aspects afterwards.
Final Fantasy Content:
This is absolutely a must, perhaps every single thing about it. Many things change and get lost online so having one place designed to show everything either at once or in a logical clear and tidy manner is a goal to achieve. Not only would it serve my personal notes on a game (did you ever write down notes as you played? where to find drops or monsters to farm etc) but it would serve as an alternative library not solely as a guide but information on the game itself where other places fail to showcase well. I want it to be interactive as I have already explored here with the FF8 map glow and the Triple Triad Rules. I always aim for such interactivity alongside being able to operate without any detriment should these features suddenly fail.
Detailed character bios could be possible too. Sometimes Square Enix does this or has a particular site to advertise their game or event, but it is designed in such a way that it has to showcase a lot in one page instead of enabling you to explore in depth of such sites. I don't blame them, it is just how the internet is designed nowadays. A database integration to help display and allocate data such as release dates, levels, magic tiers, items etc instead of inputting via html (which is quite barbaric). FF calendar is a nice idea I have explored but not had much progress in. The calendar would be a nice addition to display some things like anniversaries and release dates, just for funsies. I desperately would love to have a functioning FF12 bestiary on this site since I always loved the art and detail that went into it.
Other games like monster hunter, MGS etc:
You may have seen in extras that I have a MGS2 section regarding "The Document of MGS2" which to me is a very interesting read of how they designed the game and puts into perspective of the technical challenges and achievements they endured into making the game. Although the content is now for tech that is considered retro and obsolete, it is still a very interesting read. I will complete the MGS2 section for sure. Other games like monster hunter, I often find myself repelled (see what I did there) from many sites such as the fandom wiki. The fandom wiki is set up for potential to provide detailed information on each game, monster, location etc but fails to hit the mark where other sites do it very well. I think although it is merely an idea, I would like to do something small scale of my own regarding the classic monster hunter games under my own creative input. Perhaps even other games I love I can do something similar.
Personal:
Blogs and Photos are not going anywhere, I will still continue them! I think with blogs I will make it monthly since despite my distractions, I have yet to discipline myself to make them more often. However, this is not set in stone, this can always change. I will certainly be in this space more often eventually, I do know that.
But why?
It is fun! I think even if it is pointless, it is still fun to do and something that can benefit me and others too (I hope!). I do dislike information being hidden in discord servers which is an extra layer to have to pass through to get somewhere and discord has its own limitations ESPECIALLY when sorting out data and such. Although as a child, sites like this used to exist, I am not chasing that old memory but I am honouring them in some way as I naturally make this place. It is simply a creative outlet of mine and I think the world could do with tiny shreads of positivity and id like to bring that in my own way too hehe. The internet does not have to always be about selling a product or whatever is the new trend to hate on.
Stay well and I hope to see you in the next one o/
